I disagree. Studies show that coffee is rich in antioxidants. If I remember correctly there are about 1300 anti oxidants while tea has only 300. Furthermore there are studies that show that consuming 6-7 cups of coffee per day reduces your chance of developing type 2 diabetes, it has something to do with chloragenic acid and magnesium. Also, the historical importance of coffee can't be left out. It is considered the drink of the Rennaisance. Votaire the philosopher consumed 50 demitasses per day.

Actually, we've found the definitive information on this topic: coffee has been proven to be irrelevant to your health. Except that the lure of easily funded research grants and ready-made media audiences for the published results perpetuate medical research and reporting incompetence.

Can you honestly think of any other field where people could be funded with billions of dollars, publish contradictory findings weekly, get cited weekly in newspapers for 30 years, and yet offer no conclusive information throughout all that -- and not get fired for it?
